Resolution approving a First Amendment to a Land Exchange Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The County conveys 48,456 square feet of land (County Parcel, portion of Folio No. 01-3135-061-0010, located at 1851 NW 9th Avenue, Miami) to the College, and the College conveys 48,102 square feet of land (College Parcel, portion of Folio No. 01-3135-106-0010, located at 1000 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami) to the County. The amendment removes the closing condition requiring the Public Health Trust to obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM, modifies the environmental remediation provision, modifies the closing date definition, defines the effective date of the First Amendment, and requires post-closing cooperation on information exchange. The original exchange was approved by Resolution No. R-1098-24 on December 3, 2024, and the Exchange Agreement was effective January 6, 2025. The College Parcel is required for use by the Public Health Trust to construct parking for its Emergency Department Expansion Project at the Jackson Memorial Medical Center campus.
