Resolution approving an Interlocal Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the City of North Miami for on-demand transportation services. The service began in July 2023, is operated by Freebee with four Tesla Model X and two Tesla Model Y vehicles, and provides stop-to-stop service within and around North Miami with a maximum trip length of five miles. Hours of operation are 8 am to 7 pm Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 9 pm Friday, 10 am to 9 pm Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm Sunday. The agreement is for a five-year term with two five-year renewal options, effective retroactively to February 5, 2026. There is no fiscal impact to the County as the City covers the cost from its annual share of Charter County Transportation Surtax proceeds. The Transportation Cmte forwarded it to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on 7/14/2026, and it is pending before the BCC on 9/1/2026.
