The project is estimated to cost $5,900,000, funded and built by FDOT, with an anticipated construction start date of March 2027. The Transportation Committee forwarded it to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on 7/14/2026, and the BCC agenda date is 9/1/2026. The County is required to provide maintenance operations within the County's right-of-way upon completion. The project is in Districts 6 and 12, represented by Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis and Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez, respectively. The person responsible for monitoring is Maria D. Molina P.E., Chief, Right-of-Way and Stormwater Planning and Design Division. The improvements include curb ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing, widening, striping, traffic separator, loops, and signage. If additional right-of-way is required, FDOT shall acquire it at no cost to the County.
