The City of Mount Dora is currently reviewing its budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2026-27. This process involves public hearings for the adoption of a proposed millage rate and tentative budget, followed by hearings for the fire assessment rate resolution. The final adoption of the millage rate and budget will occur in September 2026. This budget process will set the financial framework for the Parks and Recreation Department's operations, which include managing parks, special events, community redevelopment, cemetery operations, and facility maintenance. The City of Mount Dora is planning for future improvements to a dock at a waterfront park. Design options for a full dock replacement are currently in progress. The city is also pursuing grant funding to help pay for this project. This project is in the planning stages, and updates will be shared as more information becomes available. The scope of work for a full dock replacement would likely involve demolition of the existing structure, site preparation, marine construction, and installation of new dock materials.
