Pasco County MPO is planning for freight movements within the county. This effort, in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation, Pasco County, and the Pasco County Economic Development Council, will result in a county-wide freight plan. This plan will identify needs, issues, and opportunities for growth in freight movement and will guide future programming decisions. The plan will also include recommendations for freight improvement projects and strategies to boost the local economy by improving the movement of goods and services. The development of this freight plan is planned to occur between July 2024 and June 2026. This early stage presents opportunities for businesses involved in planning, consulting, and potentially future infrastructure or logistics projects that may arise from the plan's recommendations. Engaging now allows businesses to understand the county's freight needs and position themselves for potential future work.
