The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization is developing its Fiscal Year 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This program outlines planned transportation projects, including several significant road widening and intersection improvement projects. Specific projects include a new interchange at SR45 (US41) at SR54, widening US98/Sr35/SR700 from 2 to 4 lanes, widening Old Pasco Rd from 2 to 4 lanes, widening the Suncoast Parkway at County Line to SR54, widening SR52/Schrader Hwy from 2 to 4 lanes, and widening US301/SR42/Gall from 2 to 4 lanes. Additionally, plans include Pasco County Sidewalk Gaps, a 10’ Multi Use Path at Perrine Ranch Rd, intersection improvements at CR42 at Meridian Ave/21st St/Suwanee Way/St. Joe Road, and pedestrian safety improvements at US19. These projects are currently under review as part of the TIP development process, with adoption planned for June 11, 2026. The scope of work will likely involve preliminary engineering, right-of-way acquisition, utility relocation, site clearing and grading, stormwater management, underground utility work, road and driveway paving, and final landscaping. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers in civil engineering, site preparation, heavy construction, paving, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping could find opportunities. Reaching out to the Pasco County MPO early in this planning phase may provide an advantage before detailed plans and bids are finalized.
