The TPO Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met to review upcoming transportation and civic projects in Polk County. Several opportunities for local contractors, trades, suppliers, and service providers are planned or under review. These include a new commercial project on 1.5 acres, the FDOT District One Conference Center in Bartow, and a Polk County Schools Sidewalk Gap Analysis. The committee also reviewed updates to the 2026 Roadway Network Database, the Vision Zero Action Plan, and Transportation Improvement Programs (TIP) for upcoming fiscal years. Additionally, planning and feasibility studies are underway for the Lakeland Intermodal Center and an I-4 Intermodal Passenger Rail Station.
