Santa Rosa County is considering the acceptance and maintenance of infrastructure for Makaira Ridge, a new 173-lot public subdivision. This project is currently under review by the Santa Rosa County Engineering Department. The development includes the acceptance of several streets: Makaira Circle (4783 linear feet), Planktonic Drive (1858 linear feet), Gulfstream Drive (1913 linear feet), Chordata Drive (36 linear feet), and Trump Boulevard (254 linear feet). Sidewalks are also required throughout the development. This project would involve site clearing, grading, underground utility work, road and driveway paving, and final landscaping. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to reach out early to learn more about potential opportunities before bids and permits are finalized.
