The Local Option Sales Tax Committee is reviewing projects funded by sales tax. These include improvements to Navarre Park Complex, such as playground and bathroom upgrades, and minor improvements at the Oriole Beach boat ramp. Funds are also allocated for repaving roads throughout the county, with a long list of specific roads identified for this work. Additionally, design is underway for future restrooms and a press box at Para Football fields, and a study is in progress for an Aquatic Center. The committee is also looking into placing a toll on the Navarre Beach Bridge to fund future repairs and expansion, with a study for this being reallocated to design and installation of a gantry system. The renewal of the half-cent sales tax will be on the ballot in November 2026. Contractors for road paving, site preparation, and potentially construction trades for park facilities and the Aquatic Center could find opportunities as these projects move forward. Early engagement is advised as plans and permits are still being developed.
