WSP is planning to discuss an additional dredge area for a canal project. This discussion will involve preapplication meetings with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). If adding parts of the northern canal dredge area is found to be possible, WSP will update an existing Environmental Resource Permit application with FDEP and submit a new Clean Water Act permit application to USACE. The project will use a 60% design plan. Some of the land for the new canals is privately owned, and WSP will work with the County to get permission from these owners.
