The return of the Gamble Place property (145 acres) to the City of Port Orange was announced, with Parks and Recreation managing approximately nine acres for public use, including walking areas, kayaking, and fishing. Additional uses like trails, disc golf, events, and rentals are being considered. Residential development is not permitted. Rec Center West project, including architect selection, is scheduled to go before Council in February and will be delivered as a design/build contract. Baseball and softball registration is ending, with Opening Day on March 7, 2026, at Coraci Park. Soccer registration is in February, with senior games starting in March. America 250 events are planned, including a hometown heroes banner program and Fourth of July celebration activities.
