Miami-Dade County is seeking to authorize additional expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. EVN0000187, which provides dewatering and tank cleaning services for the Water and Sewer Department (WASD). The request is for an additional $12,879,707.00, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $18,896,707.00. These services are critical for maintaining water and wastewater treatment plant structures, tanks, pipelines, and other facilities, ensuring operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and environmental protection. The increased utilization is attributed to enhanced preventative maintenance efforts, emergency repairs for aging infrastructure, and increased system demand. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation on July 15, 2026. The pool expires on November 30, 2028. Prequalified vendors include Envirowaste Services Group, Inc., Flotech Environmental, LLC, Merrell Bros., Inc., Synagro South, LLC, and U.S. Submergent Technologies, LLC.
