1. Undergrounding of Utilities – Section 6

The City of Jacksonville Beach is reviewing a proposal to underground electric and related utility infrastructure in Section 6. Beaches Energy will provide cost estimates to help with planning. Neptune Beach may hire third-party contractors, but these must meet Beaches Energy standards and pass inspection. Neptune Beach will pay for costs related to making the undergrounding look better. Beaches Energy will manage how the underground conversion is done. This project is currently under review and could involve site preparation, trenching, conduit installation, and utility connections. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers in site preparation, underground utility work, and electrical services may find opportunities. Reaching out early could provide an advantage before final plans and bids are set.
