AMEND CDMP - COMMERCIAL VEHICLE STORAGE

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution

Resolution directing the County Mayor to file an application to amend the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) to allow additional flexibility in satisfying the minimum acreage requirement for commercial vehicle storage in authorized locations, to conduct an evaluation of vacant County-owned parcels suitable for commercial vehicle storage, and to direct a limited stay of certain enforcement actions. The resolution failed on 7/21/2026. The proposed change would allow properties within a certain distance of one another to be aggregated to achieve the minimum acreage requirement, even if not adjoining, adjacent, or within 660 feet of one another, such as properties separated only by a roadway or a single intervening parcel, or under common ownership and part of a unified business operation. The resolution also directs an evaluation of all vacant County-owned properties across Miami-Dade County and a report listing them by Commission District with current CDMP land use designation and zoning district. It also directs a one-year stay of enforcement for commercial vehicle storage violations that would be legalized through the CDMP application and related Code changes. The original item was under File No. 252447.
