Resolution authorizing amended and restated County deeds to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc., allowing conveyance of three County-owned properties to affiliate Javon Gardens LLC, and granting a two-year extension to July 29, 2028, to obtain final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. Adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on 7/21/2026. The properties were originally conveyed for single-family homes under the Infill Housing Program, but use was changed to multi-family rental units per Resolution R-124-24. The extension granted by R-124-24 expires on July 29, 2026. Building Better Communities cited uncontrollable delays, including completion of surveys, and inability to secure financing on its own as justification. The transfer is to Javon Gardens LLC, a joint venture between Building Better Communities and Pyramid Construction. The resolution also authorizes the County Mayor or designee to exercise the County's reversionary interest or accept a deed back to the County if deed restrictions are not met, and requires signage on the properties identifying the County and district commissioner.
