Resolution adopted authorizing amended and restated county deeds to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc., permitting conveyance of three county-owned properties to affiliate Javon Gardens LLC, and granting a two-year extension to July 29, 2028, to obtain final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units to be rented to very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The properties were originally conveyed for single-family homes under the Infill Housing Program, but use was changed to multi-family rental units. The extension granted under Resolution R-124-24 expires July 29, 2026. The applicant cited uncontrollable delays including completion of surveys and inability to secure financing. The transfer to Javon Gardens LLC is a joint venture between Building Better Communities and Pyramid Construction. The resolution authorizes the County Mayor to enforce reversionary interest or accept deeds back if deed restrictions are not met. Signage identifying the County and district commissioner must be placed on the properties.
