Resolution adopted authorizing amended and restated county deeds to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc., allowing conveyance of three county-owned properties to its affiliate Javon Gardens LLC, and granting a two-year extension to July 29, 2028, to obtain final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units to be rented to very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The properties were originally conveyed for single-family homes under the Infill Housing Program, but use was changed to multi-family rental units. The extension granted in 2024 expires July 29, 2026. The applicant cited uncontrollable delays including completion of surveys and inability to secure financing. The resolution authorizes the County Mayor to take all actions necessary, including enforcing reversionary interest or accepting deeds back to the County. Signage identifying the County and district commissioner must be placed on the properties.
