Resolution adopted on 7/21/2026 authorizing amended and restated county deeds to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc., permitting conveyance of three previously conveyed county properties to affiliate Javon Gardens LLC, and granting a two-year extension to July 29, 2028 for final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The properties were originally conveyed for single-family homes under the Infill Housing Program, but use was changed to multi-family rental units per Resolution R-124-24. The extension granted in R-124-24 expires on July 29, 2026. Building Better Communities cited uncontrollable delays including completion of surveys and inability to secure financing on its own as justification. The transfer to Javon Gardens LLC is a joint venture between Building Better Communities and Pyramid Construction. The resolution also authorizes the County Mayor to exercise the County's reversionary interest or accept a deed back to the County if deed restrictions are not complied with, and requires signage on the properties identifying the County and district commissioner.
