Resolution authorizing amended and restated county deeds to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc., permitting conveyance of three county-owned properties to affiliate Javon Gardens LLC, and granting a two-year extension to July 29, 2028, to obtain final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. Adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on 7/21/2026. The properties were originally conveyed for single-family homes under the Infill Housing Program; a prior resolution (R-124-24) allowed multi-family rental units on these properties. The extension granted in R-124-24 expires on 7/29/2026. Building Better Communities cited uncontrollable delays, including completion of surveys, and inability to secure financing on its own as justification for the extension and transfer. The resolution also authorizes the County Mayor or designee to exercise the County's reversionary interest or accept a deed back to the County if deed restrictions are not met, and requires signage on the properties identifying the County and district commissioner.
