CITY OF HOMESTEAD LICENSE AGREEMENT

Resolution approving a license agreement between Miami-Dade County and the City of Homestead for use of the parking lot at Harris Field Park, 1034 N.E. 8 Street, Homestead, Florida, for the temporary placement and operation of a mobile spay/neuter clinic by the Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department. The license fee is $1.00 per year. The term is one year with two one-year options to renew at the option of the City. The resolution was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on 7/21/2026. The property is in County Commission District 8. The mobile clinic will be open to the public three times per week. The City is responsible for utility costs including water, sewer, and electricity. The County has no record of negative performance issues with the City of Homestead. The agreement was already adopted by the City Council, Resolution No. R2026-05-98. This initiative will have no direct fiscal impact to the County as all costs are absorbed within the department's existing operating budget.
