CITY OF HOMESTEAD LICENSE AGREEMENT

Resolution approving a license agreement between Miami-Dade County and the City of Homestead for the use of a parking lot at Harris Field Park, 1034 N.E. 8 Street, Homestead, Florida, for the temporary placement and operation of a mobile spay/neuter clinic by the Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department. The license fee is $1.00 per year. The term is one year with two one-year renewal options at the City's option. The resolution was adopted on 7/21/2026. The property is in County Commission District 8. The City is responsible for utility costs. The mobile clinic will be open to the public three times per week. The agreement was already adopted by the City Council via Resolution No. R2026-05-98. The County has no record of negative performance issues with the City of Homestead. Mr. Jacob Achinah will monitor the agreement. The initiative is part of the County's No Kill Plan and will restart spay/neuter services previously paused in 2025.
