The Board of County Commissioners of Miami-Dade County adopted Resolution R-665-26 (File Number 261172) on July 21, 2026, approving the issuance of multifamily housing revenue debt obligations by the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County in an amount not to exceed $100,000,000.00. The proceeds will be loaned to Redwood CP Holdings I, LLC to finance a portion of the costs of the development of a multifamily housing rental project known as Claude Pepper Phase I, located on an approximately 5.8 acre site at 1255-1525 NW 135th Street, North Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The project will preserve or provide approximately 203 units of rental housing to be occupied by elderly persons or families of low, moderate or middle income. The resolution was introduced on June 25, 2026, and adopted on July 21, 2026. A deferral was requested by Commissioner Bastien on July 20, 2026, but the final action was adoption. The public hearing conducted by the Authority on June 17, 2026, disclosed no reason why the debt should not be issued. The Series 2026 Bonds are expected to be issued by September of 2026.
