PINE ROCKLAND DONATION FOR EEL

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving the acceptance of a $925,000.00 donation from the Center for Biological Diversity, Miami Pine Rocklands Coalition, South Florida Wildlands Association, and Tropical Audubon Society. These funds are designated for the Miami-Dade County Environmentally Endangered Lands Management Trust Fund, specifically for the management and acquisition of pine rocklands. The EEL Program manages over 1,636 acres of pine rocklands and has identified over 415 additional acres for acquisition. The donation supplements existing funds for conservation efforts in Miami-Dade County.
