Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-653-26, authorizing an additional five years and $184,000,000.00 in expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. FB-01645P, Rail/Mover Parts and Services, for the Department of Transportation and Public Works. This brings the total modified cumulative pool amount to $297,621,000.00. The pool, originally established on October 5, 2021, provides critical components and maintenance services for the Metrorail and Metromover systems. The extension aims to ensure uninterrupted support, maintain fleet integrity, and allow for timely corrective and preventative maintenance. The pool remains open, with ongoing outreach to identify and add qualified vendors, including aftermarket parts suppliers. Any contract award under the pool exceeding $5,000,000.00 requires Board ratification. The pool currently has 37 active pre-qualified vendors, with 11 having local addresses, including two certified Small Business Enterprise firms. Due diligence on vendors found no adverse findings. The User Access Program and Small Business Enterprise measures will apply where permitted by funding source.
