Resolution calling a countywide special election in Miami-Dade County, Florida, to be held in conjunction with the General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, to submit to electors the question of whether to amend the Home Rule Charter to increase the length of district residency required to run for County Commissioner from six months to one year before the start of the qualifying period. Adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on 7/21/2026. The Charter Review Task Force recommended the amendment by a vote of ten in favor and none against. A scrivener's error was corrected on 7/9/2026 and 7/13/2026, replacing 'R-255-24' with 'R-225-24'.
