Resolution approving a second amendment to a grant agreement between Miami-Dade County and 1109 NW 2nd Ave LLC, increasing the grant from $8,600,000.00 to $12,957,876.00 for the company's acquisition and development of properties in the Overtown area with affordable housing and commercial development. The additional $4,357,876.00 is allocated from the Overtown trust fund, funded by Resolution No. R-860-13. The resolution was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on 7/21/2026. The grant was originally authorized by Resolution No. R-418-24 on May 7, 2024, for up to $4,000,000.00, and the first amendment was authorized by Resolution No. R-790-25 on July 16, 2025, for an additional $4,600,000.00, extending the term to September 30, 2027. The grant is for properties with entertainment facilities consistent with the Historic Overtown Culture & Entertainment District master plan, and now also for affordable housing and commercial uses. The disbursement is a lump sum payment.
