Ordinance adopting non-ad valorem assessment rolls, rates, and assessments for the Solid Waste Collection Service Area of Miami-Dade County, Florida, for Fiscal Year 2026-27, commencing October 1, 2026. The rates remain unchanged from Fiscal Year 2025-26, with a 0% increase. The typical full-service residential household assessment remains $702 annually. Assessments range from $178 for Trash and Recycling Center access only to $702 for the highest level of service. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on June 16, 2026, and adopted on final action on July 21, 2026. The proposed 2% Consumer Price Index adjustment was not approved at the May 5, 2026 Board meeting. Service reductions will be implemented on October 1, 2026, as outlined in the 'Solid Waste Service Reductions' memo distributed on May 22, 2026. The ordinance will be placed on the November 2026 and subsequent real property tax bills. The effective date is ten days after enactment unless vetoed by the Mayor.
