Miami-Dade County is approving an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. This agreement involves Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties. Miami-Dade County will contribute $285,000 over three fiscal years (2027-2029), with $95,000 annually. Broward County will retain and supervise the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) on behalf of all four counties. The ISC provides services related to the Compact. The agreement was recommended favorably by the Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee on 6/9/2026. The Board of County Commissioners is set to take final action on 7/21/2026. The agreement continues a partnership established through previous resolutions dating back to 2016.
