SOUTHEAST FL REGIONAL CLIMATE COMPACT ILA
Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution
Miami-Dade County, along with Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties, approved an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. Miami-Dade County will contribute $285,000 over three fiscal years (2027-2029), with $95,000 annually, towards services provided by the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC). Broward County will retain and supervise ISC on behalf of the four counties. The agreement aims to address climate change impacts and enhance regional resilience. The resolution authorizes the County Mayor or designee to execute the ILA, exercise termination provisions, approve extensions, and select Miami-Dade representatives to the Compact Leadership Committee. This ILA replaces a previous agreement that expired September 30, 2026.
