Miami-Dade County Commissioners approved a lease agreement for office space at 12750 NW 17 Street, Unit 112, Sweetwater, Florida. The space, approximately 2,045 square feet, will be utilized by the State of Florida Department of Health (DOH) for administrative offices, specifically for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. The lease term is three years with a three-year option to renew. Miami-Dade County will act as the tenant, and the State of Florida DOH will be the assignee, operating at no cost to the County. The total fiscal impact to the Assignee for the initial year is $67,689.50, including base rent, CAM charges, and a lease management fee paid to the County. The County retains the right to terminate the lease with 90 days' notice. This new lease replaces an existing DOH lease at 11865 SW 26 Street.
