Ordinance re-creating Section 2-98.3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida, regulating the operation of micromobility devices, electric bicycles, and motorized scooters in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County. The ordinance applies to Crandon Boulevard between the northern limits of the Village of Key Biscayne to the northern entrance of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, upon the municipality entering into an interlocal agreement. It establishes regulations including a 20 mph speed limit, prohibitions on sidewalk operation except for parking, and parking restrictions. Civil penalties are $250 for first offense and $500 for second or subsequent offense. The ordinance sunsets 2 years from its effective date.
