Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to grant a non-exclusive underground utility easement to Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) within Zoo Miami. This easement is for the installation of underground electrical facilities to support the new Zoo Miami Animal Hospital. The easement area is a portion of County-owned land managed by the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROS) Department. FPL will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of these facilities and will pay a nominal sum of $10.00 for the easement. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation.
