RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO JOINT DEVELOPMEN

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved the first amendment to a joint development agreement for the Palmetto Station Transit-Oriented Development Project. This amendment restructures the project to allow developers to enter directly into ground leases with the county, while preserving the Foundation's role in youth housing and community programming. The project will include a minimum of 929 workforce and community housing units, with an optional future phase for an additional 212 units. It will also feature workforce housing, military housing, transit operator housing, youth housing, commercial space, office space, station improvements, structured parking facilities (preserving 550 transit-user spaces), and transit-supportive infrastructure. The parking facilities will be constructed, owned, and operated by the developer at no cost to the county. The Board also approved the Phase I Ground Lease Agreement with Palmetto Crossings, LLC.
