The City of Palatka is planning to construct a transient aircraft parking apron at the Palatka Municipal Airport (28J). This project involves expanding the existing apron pavement by 3400 square yards in the north terminal area and includes associated stormwater improvements. A new City-owned aircraft storage hangar is also part of the overall project. This item is currently under review as part of the FY-26 FAA AIP Grant Application process. The work will likely involve site clearing and grading, stormwater and underground utility work, and paving for the new apron.
