The City of Palatka has awarded a contract for the Corporate Jet Center & North Terminal Apron project at the Palatka Municipal Airport. This project involves significant site work, including clearing and grubbing, excavation, subgrade stabilization, limerock base course, asphalt paving for roads and aprons, and pavement markings. It also includes the installation of storm sewer systems, inlets, endwalls, decorative and chainlink security fencing, and gates. Additionally, the project encompasses the installation of potable water, sanitary sewer, and site electrical services, along with concrete sidewalks and curbs. The project is currently in the construction phase, following a bid opening on March 31, 2026. This project presents opportunities for contractors, suppliers, and service providers involved in site preparation, heavy civil construction, utility work, paving, concrete, fencing, electrical services, and landscaping. Early engagement with the awarded contractor, Ahrens Companies, is advised as work is set to commence shortly after a Notice to Proceed is issued.
