The City of Palatka is reviewing plans for Corporate Jet Center (Phase 1), a project proposed by the City Commission. This project involves constructing an 11,995 square foot pre-engineered metal building aircraft hangar. The hangar will feature a 100-foot wide by 28-foot tall six-leaf sliding door and a single-toilet restroom. Site improvements include an asphalt pavement access road, concrete sidewalk, fencing, gates, storm sewer, and utilities. An additive bid item includes a 1,600 square foot pre-engineered metal building office with restrooms and associated asphalt pavement parking stalls and concrete sidewalk. This item is currently under review. The project would involve site clearing and grading, underground utility work, storm sewer installation, asphalt paving for roads and parking, concrete work for sidewalks, and the erection of the pre-engineered metal buildings. The scope also includes mechanical and finish trades for the office and restroom facilities, as well as fencing and gate installation. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers in fields such as general contracting, site preparation, concrete, paving, metal building erection, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC could find opportunities.
