If the Grantee wishes to use a different procurement method, they must request approval from the Department in advance, providing a detailed budget and scope of services. Once the price is settled, the Grantee can finalize the subcontract or subaward. This process involves planning and procurement for services related to the Grant Work Plan, potentially including site preparation, construction, and related trades. Local contractors, trades, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to monitor this process and engage early, as opportunities to compete for subcontracts will arise as the Grantee finalizes its procurement strategy and selects partners.
