The Golf Course Advisory Board met on May 11, 2026. Public comment from Bill Geisler praised progress on both courses and thanked staff. The board discussed the USGA Course Conditions Report for WP18, highlighting greens nearing end of life cycle, irrigation system infrastructure concerns, and the potential redirection of driving range funds to irrigation. For WP9, staff provided an update on renovation and repair, with bunker pours, sprig installation, and sod installation scheduled. The course may reopen next Monday with temporary greens, and full reopening is estimated for mid-July. Minor course layout improvements are also planned. WP9 and WP18 revenue reports were presented, noting a discount on WP9 greens fees due to playing condition issues and WP18 on track to exceed prior years in rounds played, despite a decline in driving range revenue. Memberships at WP18 have been extended by one month. The WP9 10-year anniversary celebration is planned for early October.
