The Pasco County Tourist Development Council met on May 20, 2026. The council approved several funding agreements for sports events and group meetings. These include funding for 50 Flag Events LLC for the Tampa Bay Amateur 2026 Golf event at TPC Tampa Bay ($1,644.00), Florida Sports Foundation Inc. for the Sunshine State Games Taekwondo Championships at Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus ($3,168.00), Viaports International LLC for the Florida’s Sports Coast Pro Am Beach Soccer Challenge at Sunwest Park ($2,000.00), and West Pasco Girls Fast Pitch Softball Association, Inc. for the Dixie Softball World Series at Starkey Ranch District Park ($3,888.00). Additionally, funding was approved for group meeting incentive programs for Saddlebrook Resort ($5,000.00) and Hyatt Place Wesley Chapel ($3,000.00). The council also received presentations on marketing, communications, sports tourism, industry relations, and DMO director updates.
